Philosophy
DoctrineThe Interpreters reject both the Archive's certainty and the Severed's destruction. They believe the Collapse revealed something the Antecedents always knew: reality is not singular. This was never a conclusion reasoned toward — it is what growing up at Veyth Anchorage looks like from birth. The Anchorage is a permanent, stable Veil Overlap — multiple Lattice grammars occupying the same coordinates without ever resolving. The Interpreters didn't discover this. They were born standing in it.
Their mission is not to restore or destroy, but to catalogue, preserve, and study every version of reality the Collapse produced. They believe somewhere in the contradictions lies a meta-truth — a grammar of grammars — they call the Veil Theorem, and proving it is their existential purpose.
They are the scholars, the archivists of contradiction. They are also, paradoxically, the most dangerous faction — because understanding all perspectives means they can weaponize any of them.
Internal Structure
4 bodiesThe Contradiction Council
Governing body. Every decision must receive both approval AND dissent, formally recorded. A unanimous decision is considered a failure of governance.
Veil Scholars
Researchers who maintain the Registry of Contradictions — the most comprehensive record of the universe's inconsistencies, considered the most valuable document in existence.
The Layered
Operatives who perceive multiple Lattice states simultaneously through prolonged Glyph exposure — this drives roughly 30% of them insane.
Paradox Engineers
Combat specialists who fight with reinterpretation — forcing a region to express two contradictory states at once, destabilizing fixed-interpretation targets.
Homeworld & Ship Doctrine
Veyth AnchorageVeyth Anchorage is not a single coherent world by design — multiple Lattice grammars occupy the same coordinates without ever resolving. Interpreter shipwrights build the only way anyone native to the Anchorage knows how: layered, structurally-redundant hull-shells, each tuned to a different local grammar.
